East Principal Wins State Press Honor
Wichita East High School principal Ken Thiessen was selected Administrator of the Year by the Kansas Sholastic Press Association for his advocacy of school publications and journalism students. He was chosen on the basis of knowledge of student publication law and other factors.
Congratulations--I thought your sister would want to read the article, so I put this up for her!

thanks, Julie. I didn't know it was in the paper. ken was recognized at the BOE meeting Mon. night. A sr from East was journalism student of the year. It's the first time one school has received both awards I guess.
