Talk about a big sky!

We went to see the wild mustangs (2300 of them) who roam on the Shadow Valley Ranch--it is such a wide open space. The mustang pasture is 5500 acres!

So beautiful. Where is it located? It made me think of Little House on the Prairie. I love wide open spaces.

Yes, where is this located? The horses are absolutely beautiful -- so is the landscape. It must have been awesome to see the wild horses. Wow!
Love you,

Shadow Valley Ranch is located about 5 miles south of Cassoday, KS--it is about 40 miles from our place. KT met the caretaker a while back and he told him he had his permission to come back and drive the road across the ranch whenever he wanted to. It is the most beautiful in the morning--you have never seen such a blue sky! And it is an eery feeling when you hear a herd of horses stampede across the prairie. I don't think I had ever heard that sound except in the movies.

Julie, I love your comment. It would be so awesome to hear the herd thunder across the open prairie. I always loved to see our horse run across the pasture. I can not imagine seeing a whole herd. I have only seen that in the movies. Do they ever let other people come and view them or is it always closed to the public?
